LOS ANGELES, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- A song written by actress Sharon Stone and Grammy-winning songwriter Denise Rich to help U.S. hurricane victims is selling like gangbusters on iTunes.
A diverse group of 26 musicians ranging from rappers to pop stars to crooners donated their talents for "Come Together Now," which set a record with 2,600 downloads in its first week, it was announced in a news release Tuesday. All the money raised is going to Habitat for Humanity and Angels Place.
Celine Dion, Joss Stone, The Game and Wyclef Jean, Jesse McCartney, John Legend, Nick Carter, Gavin DeGraw, Aaron Carter, Patti LaBelle and Chingy all contributed to the song.
Also heard are Anthony Hamilton, JoJo, Kimberley Locke, Brian McKnight, AJ McLean, Mya, Natalie Cole, Stacie Orrico, Kelly Price, Lee Ryan, Angie Stone, Garu, Glenn Lewis, Tren'l, R.L. Huggar and Ruben Studdard.
"I want there to be heroes again and these people that donated their time on the song are heroes to me," Stone said in the release.
