Witherspoon seeks director for 'Reckoning'

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon is developing a thriller, "The Reckoning," through her Type A Films, it was reported Wednesday.

The story is based on a 2004 book by Jeff Long about a photojournalist who arrives in Cambodia to cover the U.S. military search for the remains of an American pilot shot down during the Vietnam War, The Hollywood Reporter said.

A director is now being sought for the screenplay written by Ted Tally, who also did "Red Dragon" and "The Silence of the Lambs."
