Barack Obama accepts seat on 'Daily Show'

CHICAGO, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., will add some Comedy Central cool to his resume with an appearance on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

The junior Senator from Illinois has already sat down with Oprah Winfrey, was joked about by David Letterman and has made frequent appearances on C-Span. But the hottest seat in political circles these days is behind the desk with Stewart for a grilling "fake news" style.

Obama was invited on "The Daily Show" more than a year ago, the Chicago Tribune reported, but just recently agreed to do the show.

Obama's live interview will be broadcast Monday at 11 p.m. ET.
