NEW YORK, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo is going back to Harvard University and plans to graduate in June with a degree in English.
Cuomo took an eight-year break from higher education and returned to Harvard at the start of 2005, but the band's hectic recording and touring schedule got in the way, Billboard.com said Tuesday.
Cuomo told an AOL Music chat session he plans on returning to school in February and will keep his focus on finishing in June.
Billboard said it was unclear what would happen with Weezer while Cuomo finishes school.
The band is currently wrapping up its tour with the Foo Fighters in support of the latest Weezer album, "Make Believe."
