Lisa Marie Presley and music producer Jimmy Jam presented the awards to Stax songwriters Hayes and Porter, the Memphis Commercial Appeal said.

Hayes said he was gratified to see Memphis celebrating its musical history and talent, the newspaper said.

"Memphis, you giving me this award is like giving my family this award," Timberlake said during his acceptance speech.

Timberlake told "Extra" as soon as finishes filming on "Black Snake Moan," he's "going to get straight into doing another album."
