Former pro wrestler faces sex charges

ATLANTA, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- A former World Championship Wrestling star who went by the name of Hardbody Harrison has been accused of forcing seven Georgia women into prostitution.

The FBI announced Tuesday the former pro wrestler, whose real name is Harrison Norris Jr., was arrested after being charged in a nine-count federal indictment for false imprisonment and trafficking women for commercial sex acts, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported.

Norris, 39, of Cartersville, was arrested in Smyrna, Ga., on three counts of false imprisonment and released on bail in August 2004, the newspaper said.

He allegedly befriended women by bailing them out of jail and taking them to his Cartersville home, where he made them work as prostitutes to pay off their debts, police said.

Harrison wrestled with the now defunct WCW from 1994 to 1999. He filed a racial discrimination suit against the Atlanta-based league in 2000 but the case was dismissed in 2003, the newspaper said.
