LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- A half-hour sitcom is in the works at NBC about a black family of ghosts who haunt a white family in what's described as a "supernatural culture clash."

NBC Universal Television Studio has optioned rights to the graphic novel "Meet the Haunteds" from Platinum Studios, the Hollywood Reporter says.

The story is about an upper-middle-class white family who move into a restored house that's haunted by a black family from the early 1970s, the Reporter said.

Platinum Chairman Scott Mitchell Rosenberg said the comedy will be "supernatural culture clash" that shows how everyone can get "along no matter how disparate and different (the two families') beliefs are."
