LONDON, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- An 80-page handwritten manuscript by Ludwig von Beethoven missing for 115 years is going on the auction block in London.
It is expected to fetch in excess of $1 million when it goes on the block Dec. 1 at Sotheby's auction house in London.
A Sotheby's spokesman said it is "the most important Beethoven manuscript to appear in recent memory."
It's believed an Ohio industrialist bought the 1826 score to "Grosse Fuge" in Berlin in 1890 and took it to the United States, where it disappeared, the BBC said Thursday.
A librarian at Philadelphia's Palmer Theological Seminary found it in a basement cabinet while conducting an inventory of school's archives.
