LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston and her mother, Nancy, are speaking again after nine years of estrangement.
Aniston cut off her mother after she discussed the "Friends" star on a 1996 TV talk show, the World Entertainment News Network said. Their rift widened when Nancy Aniston wrote a about raising Jennifer as a single mother in her book, "From Mother and Daughter To Friends." "Days Of Our Lives" star John Aniston left his wife, Nancy, when their daughter was 9.
Jennifer Aniston told Elle magazine her split with her own husband, Brad Pitt, spurred her to begin rebuilding her relationship with her mother.
"It's like we get to reintroduce ourselves to each other," she told the fashion magazine. "I'm just happy she's still here. I'm not saying that there weren't issues that took place that led to this. But I really see now whether it was judging her on how she handled her separation or her situation, but they didn't have the advantages that we have with therapy, with self-help books."
