ATLANTA, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Rapper Gucci Mane Wednesday pleaded no contest in Atlanta to hitting a concert promoter with a pool cue and was sentenced to six months in jail.

Mane, 25, whose real name is Radric Davis, was accused of smacking Troy Bufford in the head with the cue in the office of Atlanta's Big Cat Records in June.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge John Goger sentenced Mane to six months in jail, but he will be free in three months considering time already served, AllHipHop.com reported. Mane was also placed on 6 1/2 years probation and was ordered to pay Bufford's $6,000 hospital bills.

The rapper still faces trial in the May 10 shooting death of Henry Clark in an Atlanta suburb. Mane claims the shooting was in self defense.
