Another legal win for Cameron Diaz

LONDON, July 29 (UPI) -- Actress Cameron Diaz chalked up legal victories on both sides of the pond in just a matter of days.

First, a photographer was convicted in Los Angeles criminal court of forging her name to a release of topless photos he took when she was a struggling starlet, then threatening to sell them if she didn't give him $3 million. John Rutter will be sentenced next month for forgery, perjury and attempted grand theft.

Then it was reported Friday the British tabloid, The Sun, admitted it falsely accused the actress of cheating on boyfriend Justin Timberlake and agreed to pay her undisclosed damages.

The Sun had claimed Diaz was caught "snogging a married man" ... "while her pop star fiance prepared to go into hospital for a throat operation."

The Sun said it got its information from U.S. tabloid, National Enquirer, which is also being sued by Diaz.
