Michael Jackson may move to Berlin

BERLIN, July 21 (UPI) -- Michael Jackson wants to leave the United States and move to Berlin.

Shawn Andrews, adviser to the Jackson family, told Thursday's edition of the German daily newspaper Berliner Morgenpost that the pop star "definitely" wants to move to Europe. The German capital would be Jackson's most likely place of residence, Andrews said.

"In Berlin he feels at home. He is in love with the city," he said.

Andrews said Jackson was touched by the warm-hearted support he got from his German fans during his child sex abuse trial, the newspaper said. Jackson was acquitted of the charges in June.

Family patriarch Joe will celebrate his 76th birthday, which is Saturday, in the German capital.

Friday night's party at the Berlin Convention Center will see stars such as Paris Hilton, Mike Tyson and Michael's sister Janet, the newspaper said.

It is still undecided if Michael will attend the party.
