Jolie's new daughter home with mom

NEW YORK, July 16 (UPI) -- Angelina Jolie's newly adopted daughter has been released from a New York hospital where she was being treated for dehydration and malnutrition.

Six-month-old Zahara was hospitalized last week after Jolie returned home with her from Ethiopia.

"The baby is doing great," Dr. Jane Aronson told People magazine. "And most importantly (Jolie and Zahara) have bonded."

Jolie, son Maddox and Brad Pitt, flew to Africa last week to fetch Zahara, who was orphaned by AIDS.

Pitt also ended up hospitalized after the trip, suffering from a mild case of viral meningitis. He was released Wednesday from Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.


U.S. tour of British trio Cream rumored

NEW YORK, July 16 (UPI) -- Although there's no official confirmation, Billboard reports rumblings of a U.S. tour of Britain's legendary rock trio Cream.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce reunited in May at London's Royal Albert Hall. Sources told Billboard that concert dates are being "unofficially" set for three shows in October at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Neither Madison Square Garden nor Clapton's agent would confirm that the reunion concerts were being held, Billboard said.


Village People cop arrested

DALY CITY, Calif., July 16 (UPI) -- The guy who sang dressed as a cop in disco's original Village People has been arrested in Daly City, Calif., with a loaded gun and crack cocaine in his car.

Victor Edward Willis, who helped write such hits as "In the Navy," "Macho Man" and "YMCA," was arrested by police during a traffic stop, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Saturday.

Police said Willis was wanted on a $15,000 felony warrant for drug possession, which led to the search of his vehicle Monday.

Willis was part of the Village People when it formed in 1977, but left in 1980, the Chronicle said.

He was convicted of possessing drugs in 1990 and acquitted three years later of raping a former girlfriend.


Jackson, Jam & Lewis come full circle

LOS ANGELES, July 16 (UPI) -- Janet Jackson and her longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis will celebrate 20 years together with a new album on Virgin records.

Lewis says the album due out next year takes the trio "full circle."

"It used to be a lot of involvement from all of us, and at some point when Janet became more confident with her writing ability, she (did) the bulk of the writing," he told Billboard magazine. "And it's kind of back full circle. We're all kind of back in there doing it again together, which I really enjoy."

Jackson's last album, "Damita Jo," came out right after her infamous Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction" in 2004 and sold 971,000 copies in the United States.


'Entourage' gets third season nod

LOS ANGELES, July 16 (UPI) -- Despite soft ratings, HBO has ordered a third season of its Emmy-nominated and critically hailed comedy, "Entourage."

HBO President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Albrecht announced the show's pickup Friday during the TV Critics Association July press tour in Beverly Hills, Zap2it.com reported Saturday.

Albrecht said he didn't have many details on the deal, which was just completed, but he said the network would try for "as many episodes as we can get."

Actor Jeremy Piven got an Emmy nod Thursday for his role as Hollywood agent Ari Gold and David Frankel was nominated for directing the pilot episode.

Fewer than 2 million viewers have tuned in to watch as rising star Vincent Chase and his three buddies navigate Hollywood, Zap2it.com said.
