Jackson, Jam & Lewis come full circle

LOS ANGELES, July 16 (UPI) -- Janet Jackson and her longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis will celebrate 20 years together with a new album on Virgin records.

Lewis says the album due out next year takes the trio "full circle."

"It used to be a lot of involvement from all of us, and at some point when Janet became more confident with her writing ability, she (did) the bulk of the writing," he told Billboard magazine. "And it's kind of back full circle. We're all kind of back in there doing it again together, which I really enjoy."

Jackson's last album, "Damita Jo," came out right after her infamous Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction" in 2004 and sold 971,000 copies in the United States.
