LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- "General Hospital" actress Kelly Monaco and dancer Alec Mazo teamed to win ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" competition.
Monaco and Mazo, who had the lowest score of the teams when the program debuted, were given the show's only perfect score in a final performance that was broadcast Wednesday night. Actor John O'Hurley and dancer Charlotte Jorgensen were the runners-up in the competition that paired celebrities with professional dancers.
Another "reality" show ended its season Wednesday, with Chuck Munyon and Caitlin Stoller sharing the top prize of $250,000 in the WB's "Beauty and the Geek."
The program had teams compete in challenges such as women fixing cars and men buying clothes for the women, the Chicago Tribune said. The final challenge was a test of teammates' knowledge about each other.
