KARLOVY VARY, Czech Republic, July 5 (UPI) -- Liv Ullmann says pre-production work is about to get under way on "A Journey Home," the story of a woman who travels back to her roots in Iceland.
Ullmann refused to reveal who will play the lead but described her as "a female Oscar winner."
The film, which uses flashbacks to explain the reasons the woman wants to go home and the choices she made before leaving her homeland years earlier, is expected to be shot in Iceland and England. It is to be produced by Steven Haft ("The Dead Poets' Society").
Ullmann also told the Oslo Dagsavisen she still hopes to film a new version of "A Doll's House."
