Emilie de Ravin stars in horror remake

HOLLYWOOD, June 21 (UPI) -- Australian actress Emilie de Ravin will star in the remake of Wes Craven's 1977 horror flick "The Hills Have Eyes."

The 23-year-old actress, best known as new mother Claire in ABC's "Lost," recently wrapped shooting on another horror film, "Santa's Slay."

De Ravin joins "Monk" actor Ted Levine as well as Kathleen Quinlan, Vinessa Shaw and Aaron Stanford in the remake of "The Hills Have Eyes" about a family stranded in the desert and attacked by cannibals, Zap2it.com reported.

Shooting is to get under way in Morocco this month on the film, which Alexandre Aja is directing.
