Movie soundtrack features Curb artists

NASHVILLE, June 18 (UPI) -- Nashville-based Curb Records has released the soundtrack for the Universal Pictures film, "The Perfect Man" featuring several Curb artists.

Performing on the soundtrack are Kaci, Kimberley Locke, Plumb, Howie Day, Jadon Lavik, Sarah Overall, Beth Thornley, Grits and Styx frontman Dennis DeYoung.

In the movie, teenager Holly Hamilton, played by Hilary Duff, is tired of moving every time her single mom Jean, played by Heather Locklear, has another personal meltdown involving a boyfriend. To distract her mother, Holly conceives the perfect plan for the perfect man -- an imaginary secret admirer for her mother.

The film also stars Chris Noth of HBO's "Sex and the City," Mike O'Malley of "28 Days," Ben Feldman of "When Do We Eat?" and Vanessa Lengies of television's "American Dreams."

"The Perfect Man" soundtrack is available in stores now, the movie opened Friday.
