Upcoming 'Batman Begins' a globetrotter

LONDON, May 31 (UPI) -- The upcoming fifth installment in the superhero movie series, "Batman Begins" is a $150 million story that explains how Bruce Wayne became the caped crusader.

Nolan said during filming in England he was determined not to let the story and acting be overshadowed by high-tech effects.

"The demand we put on ourselves was to be as spectacular as possible, but not depend on computer graphics to do it," the 34-year-old told the magazine.

The film, which opens June 15, also stars Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman and Katie Holmes, who plays Bruce Wayne's imperiled love interest.
