Nine Inch Nails frontman sues ex-manager

NEW YORK, May 17 (UPI) -- Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor told a New York court his ex-manager ripped him off of millions of dollars, it was reported Tuesday.

Reznor said he is now worth only $400,000 because John Malm allegedly stole or mismanaged nearly $10 million, the New York Post reported. Malm has denied the accusations.

Reznor's civil suit against Malm opened with the rocker on the stand. He said Malm scammed him into a bogus deal that gave his former manager 50 percent stake in Reznor's record label, Nothing Records, and 20 percent of Nine Inch Nails' profits.

"I wasn't paying attention. I trusted somebody. It's as simple as that," Reznor told The Post.
