Cameron Diaz suing The Sun newspaper

LONDON, May 13 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz is suing Britain's Sun newspaper over a story claiming she was having a secret affair with a married man.

Diaz, recently linked with singer Justin Timberlake, was pictured with another man on the front page of the newspaper's Thursday edition, the BBC reported.

She directed her British lawyers, who called the Sun's report of a secret affair with a married man "false," to issue and serve libel proceedings against the tabloid's publisher.

Meanwhile, Timberlake is suing another British newspaper, the News of the World, over a story that claimed he cheated on Diaz. That case is expected to go to jury trial in October.
