NEW YORK, May 4 (UPI) -- New York's Inside TV magazine has tapped Marge Simpson, mom of the dysfunctional "The Simpsons," as the No. 1 All-Time Greatest TV Mom.
Marge beat out June Cleaver ("Leave it to Beaver"), who was second; Clair Huxtable ("The Cosby Show"), No. 3; Lorelai Gilmore ("Gilmore Girls"), No. 4; and Marion Cunningham ("Happy Days"), who was fifth.
In an "exclusive interview" with Inside TV, Lisa Simpson had this to say about her mom: "After all these years, she still makes pearls and a beehive work."
The publication's editors noted her ability to multitask.
"She's a modern day June Cleaver who juggles bratty Bart, precocious Lisa and pacifier-addicted Maggie, while keeping hubby Homer in check."
