NEW YORK, April 13 (UPI) -- The widow of rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard is storing his DNA as protection against gold-digging child support claims against his New York estate.
Icelene Jones, already fighting a battle over the dead hip-hop star's estate, said Tuesday she had saved genetic material from her husband to test incoming paternity claims.
"I was real hurt with him doing the things that he's done," she said. "But I have nothing against the other children. I've met some of them. If they are, they are. If they're not, they're not. They're beautiful children -- the ones that I've seen. I preserved DNA for this purpose."
Various biographers say her husband fathered 12 or 13 children with various women.
The widow has three children by ODB, whose real name was Russell Jones.
