OSLO, Norway, April 11 (UPI) -- Police in Oslo, Norway, were questioning a suspect they said could lead them to "The Scream" and "Madonna" Edward Munch paintings stolen last year.

Police arrested the 37-year-old suspect Friday and recovered a cache of weapons related to the heist at the Munch Museum in Oslo, Aftenposten reported Monday.

Police said there are clear links between the Munch masterpiece thieves and a robbery at a Norwegian Cash Service in Stavanger, Norway, a year ago.

Authorities said they have other suspects, but were concentrating on making sure no damage was done to the still-missing masterpieces.
