The song had been an instant hit with many Ukrainians who rallied around Viktor Yushchenko during November's presidential election.

The song is a remake of the famous revolutionary song "Pueblo unido jamas sera vencido!" or "The People, United, Will Never be Defeated!" from the 1960s.
