LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- "The Incredibles" was named Best Animated Feature Film in Los Angeles Sunday at the 77th Annual Academy Awards.
Writer-director Brad Bird's tale of a family of super-heroes who come out of forced retirement to save the world was also one of 2004's biggest box-office hits, grossing $259 million at the U.S. box office, and $625 million worldwide.

Bird was also nominated for an Oscar this year for best original screenplay for "The Incredibles."
