BERLIN, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Pop star George Michael says his style of music is dead and a new film about his life will be the start of his retirement.
"I thought I should explain myself before I disappear," said Michael, who was at the Berlin film festival to launch the documentary, "A Different Story," reports the BBC.

The film chronicles Michael's life and career from the 1980s and his personal struggles.
The 41-year-old said he wanted to "move his career into a different form," but said he did not know yet what it would be.
He said he would still make music, but outside of the public view.
"I don't really think that there is anyone in the modern pop business who I feel I want to spar with," he said.
