LOS ANGELES, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Former "Friends" star Matthew Perry is recovering from drug-induced seizures in Los Angeles, the World Entertainment News Network reported Monday.
The 35-year-old who played Chandler Bing in the sitcom was rushed to the UCLA hospital in Los Angeles Wednesday "after an adverse reaction to prescription drugs," the report said, adding he was admitted under a false name.
Perry has a history of prescription drug addiction and has been in and out of rehab programs since 1997. WENN said blood tests revealed traces of barbiturates, normally prescribed to aid sleep or reduce anxiety.
Perry's spokeswoman, Lisa Kasteler, told reporters Sunday he was recovering well.
"His doctor wanted him in the hospital where they could observe his condition," she said. "But he's fine."
