Wilson most borrowed author in Britain

LONDON, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Children's author Jacqueline Wilson has won the title of most borrowed author in British libraries for the second straight year.

Wilson's books have sold more than 15 million copies in Britain and include such works as "The Illustrated Mum" and "The Story of Tracy Beaker."

Last year she surpassed Catherine Cookson who spent 17 years at the top of the library charts, the BBC said.

This year Danielle Steel was runner-up, with Josephine Cox in third place, both for the second year in a row.

"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" was the most borrowed book. The title of most borrowed adult fiction novel went to John Grisham's "The King of Torts."
