'Frasier' alum Gilpin in TV pilot

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- "Frasier" star Peri Gilpin has signed on for her first role in a television show since playing Roz the long-running NBC comedy.

Gilpin is set to co-star in the Sony Pictures Television comedy pilot, "Uncommon Sense," with Larry Miller, who also wrote the script and will executive produce with his wife Eileen Conn, Zap2it.com reports.

Miller, who starred in "The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire," plays a newspaper columnist with a humorous view on life.

Gilpin, who received eight Screen Actors Guild Award nominations and one win as part of the "Frasier" ensemble, will play Larry's wife.

Miller's longtime friend Jerry Seinfeld has something to do with the pilot, but no one's saying what.
