LONDON, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Troubled rocker Pete Doherty Friday faced robbery and blackmail charges in a reported fracas at a London hotel, Sky News reported.
The ex-Libertines singer and boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss was arrested Wednesday night by police who were called to the hotel to investigate an assault. Another rock musician, Alan Wass, was also arrested in the same alleged incident.
A man in his 30s who is believed to have been roughed up during the episode was taken to a London hospital for treatment of facial injuries and released.
Doherty, 25, was kicked out of The Libertines after failing to stop using drugs, after which he formed another band, Babyshambles.
A scheduled show by the band was canceled Wednesday night, The Libertines' Web site said.
