SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- The rapping nanny featured on Fox TV's "American Idol" San Francisco auditions this week was actually a comic in disguise, the New York Post revealed.
Comic Chris Wylde adopted a nerdy persona as a nanny, donned clunky black glasses and auditioned under his real name, Christopher Noll.
Abdul and Brandy praised the performance, which was panned by Cowell.
Wylde, who had his own Comedy Central show and appeared in such movies as "Coyote Ugly," "Joe Dirt" and "Evolution," got on the Wednesday night broadcast by letting go a string of obscenities as he dejectedly left the audition room.
The Post said "Idol" producers were apparently unaware the audition was a stunt.
