LONDON, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Comic Victoria Wood found no humor in being the latest victim of Ali G, likening the British funnyman's spoof interview of her to "laughing at lunatics."

Ali G, whose real name is Sacha Baron Cohen, has duped dozens of public figures from England and the United States on his Channel 4 "Da Ali G" show, including former CIA Director James Woolsey and astronaut Buzz Aldron, the Daily Mail and The Sun reported.

Wood, a well-known comic who did not know she was taking part in a "fake" interview, said Ali G's brand of humor is "horrible."

"With so many good writers and performers, it's a shame people can't write a script and have other people learn it. It's all got to be done by duping. It's horrible -- like laughing at lunatics," Wood told Radio Times.

Wood has put her stand-up career on hold and is about to star in a West End musical version of her spoof soap opera "Acorn Antiques."
