Burnett reality show seeks INXS lead

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- U.S. reality show creator Mark Burnett holding auditions for his next series to find a new lead singer for rockers INXS, Zap2it.com reports.

The CBS program, currently dubbed the "Untitled Rock Star Project," aims to find a replacement for the late INXS frontman, Michael Hutchence. The contestants will live together and the show will record how they get along and feature some of the auditions.

Tryouts have already have been held in Charlotte, N.C., and move to Nashville this week and New York City Sunday before fanning out across the U.S. and Canada through next month. Men and women 21 and older are invited to audition at the open call on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Burnett, creator of "Survivor" and other hit reality shows, will work with David Goffin of "American Idol" fame and INXS managers David Edwards and Michael Murchison.
