NBC announces details of tsunami benefit

BURBANK, Calif., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- An all-star lineup including Madonna and Eric Clapton is set to perform on a telecast to raise funds for victims of the South Asian tsunami.

"Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope" is scheduled to air live at 8 p.m. Saturday over NBC and its cable channels -- including Telemundo and PAX. The talent lineup also includes Norah Jones, Sheryl Crow, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Maroon 5, Sarah McLachlan, Mary J. Blige, Lenny Kravitz, John Mayer, Kenny Chesney, India.Arie, Tom Jones, Brian Wilson and Gloria Estefan.

Producers have also lined up appearances on the special by Halle Berry, Usher, George Clooney, Uma Thurman, Matt Damon, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, Bruce Willis, Danny DeVito, Tim Robbins, Eric McCormack and Sean Hayes.

NBC Universal is producing the special in collaboration with the American Red Cross.
