Snoop Dogg sues alleged accuser for $5M

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. rapper Snoop Dogg is suing a woman he says threatened to accuse him publicly of assault if he didn't pay her $5 million.

"Entertainment Tonight" reported Wednesday that the suit, filed Dec. 10, accuses the unnamed woman of extortion and asks for punitive damages.

The rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, also denies any involvement in the supposed assault, which is alleged to have occurred at a concert last year.

The suit says the woman threatened to go public with the alleged assault if she did not get $5 million from the recording and film star.
