NEW YORK, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Basketball Hall of Famer, NBA TV analyst and lifelong music fan, Bill Walton will host a weekly U.S. music program on SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
Walton will host "One More Saturday Night with Bill Walton," featuring music by the Grateful Dead and other favorite artists, on SIRIUS music channel 17, Jam_On.
The show airs Saturdays from 9 p.m. to midnight EST, and will be re-broadcast Wednesdays from 9 p.m. to midnight EST.
Walton, selected as one of the "50 Greatest Players" of the NBA's first 50 years, has been a longtime fan of the legendary rock band the Grateful Dead, and is an acknowledged "Dead Head." The show features Walton's insight on the Grateful Dead and will include some versions of songs found only in Walton's personal music collection.
In his book "Nothing But Net -- Just Give Me The Ball and Get Out Of My Way," Walton describes the positive influence that the Grateful Dead has been in his life.
