Robert Evans' life headed for Broadway

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Producer Robert Evans plans to star in an autobiographical show on Broadway next spring, The Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

The paper said the show is tentatively called "Kid Notorious" -- the same name as the Comedy Central animated series based on his life.

Evans produced such movies as "Chinatown" and "Marathon Man," and ran Paramount Pictures when the studio turned out such classics as "The Godfather" and "Love Story."

The show will feature Evans and his long-time friend Dick Van Patten, telling stories about Evans' adventures in Hollywood, accompanied by film clips.

Evans told the Times much of the material would be taken from his latest, not yet published book, "The Fat Lady Sang."

"I have varying stories to tell and no shortage of material," he said.
