BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- CBS shows "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Joan of Arcadia" have won Family Television Awards as best comedy and best drama.
At a ceremony Wednesday, ABC's "Extreme Makeover" was named best reality show, CBS's "Lost" best new series and NBC's coverage of the Summer Olympics best movie or special, Zap2it.com reports. Bernie Mac won the Best Actor award and Amber Tamblyn of "Joan of Arcadia" and Doris Roberts of "Raymond" shared Best Actress honors.
The Association of National Advertisers sponsors the awards and also funds the Family Friendly Programming Forum, which provides seed money for television series. None of this year's winners received forum grants.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to be broadcast next Thursday on the WB network.
