Heather Locklear's 'LAX' canceled

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- "LAX," U.S. TV's airport drama starring Heather Locklear and Blair Underwood, has been canceled after 10 episodes, Zap2it.com reported Monday.

Production will end on the NBC series in several weeks when the show's 13-week episode commitment is completed, unidentified insiders said.

"LAX's" current time slot, 8 p.m. Wednesdays, will be taken up with previously-scheduled specials for the next three weeks.

There is no word on when or if "LAX's" final three episodes will air, Zap2it.com said.

The drama premiered in September at 10 p.m. Mondays following "Las Vegas." After poor ratings, NBC moved "LAX" to Wednesdays where it competed with UPN's "America's Top Model," ABC's "Lost" and the WB's "Smallville."
