LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Annie Parisse, known to U.S. daytime drama fans as Julia on "As The World Turns," joined NBC's "Law & Order" cast as the new assistant district attorney.
Parisse replaces Elizabeth Rohm, who left the popular drama mid-season to pursue possible film and sitcom roles, the New York Post reported Monday.
The role has been one of the most sought after in the TV business because it has been a launching pad for young, smart and attractive actresses, including Angie Harmon and Jill Hennessy, the Post said.
Parisse currently stars in "National Treasure" with Nicholas Cage. She played the role of Julia Lindsey Snyder on "As the World Turns" from 1998 to 2001.
