HOLLYWOOD, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- While all three of Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" films remain highly popular among horror movie fans, there is going to be a remake, Empire Magazine says.
Raimi, actor Bruce Campbell and original producing partner Rob Tapert will be overseeing the project, but Raimi won't be directing, the report said.

On the one hand, updating a classic with modern technology seems like a good idea but, with "Evil Dead," the low tech approach was one of its charms, the report said.
It was not clear whether Campbell would reprise his role of Ashly "Ash" Williams.
