BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Singer Lionel Richie's estranged wife, Diane, faces federal charges for allegedly running an illegal medical clinic at the couple's Beverly Hills' home.
Federal authorities arrested Diane Richie Monday and charged her with aiding and abetting her boyfriend, a registered nurse, who injected people with an illegal wrinkle-filling substance, "Entertainment Tonight" reported Wednesday.
The boyfriend, Daniel Tomas Fuente Serrano, was also arrested and charged with defrauding and misleading patients, "ET" said.
Some of the people who underwent the treatments have complained of lesions, bumps and other facial injuries, officials said.
"ET" said Lionel Richie was reportedly among the many who underwent Serrano's needle last year.
The Richies married in 1996 and Diane Richie filed for divorce last year.
