LONDON, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Bookmakers in Britain give Scottish actors Ewan McGregor and Dougray Scott the inside track to play James Bond in the next 007 movie.

McGregor, who has top odds of 9/4 to get the role, will soon make his London theater musical debut in a new production of "Guys And Dolls," reported the BBC Saturday. He also played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the recent "Star Wars" prequels.

William Hill, an online betting Web site, reported that Scott was just behind with 9/2 odds. He starred in "Mission Impossible II" and "Enigma."

There is increasing speculation over who will get the famous Bond role after Pierce Brosnan recently revealed film's producers had dropped him.

Brosnan's pick to succeed him was fellow Irishman, Colin Farrell. Oddsmakers give Farrell odds of 7/1, however, Farrell has said in interviews the chances of his playing bond were more unlikely.
