NEW YORK, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Holly Hunter recently took a break from drama to lend her voice to the super heroine Elasti-girl in the new animated feature, "The Incredibles."
Asked what appealed to her about the film, the "Thirteen" and "The Piano" actress explained, "Well, it's Pixar and they've got a pretty good track record for doing great things."
Describing her character as a "domesticated super-hero," Hunter said the film is basically about an extraordinary family trying to live an ordinary life.
"She has fallen in love with another super-hero (voiced by Craig T. Nelson) and they've gotten married and had kids and they're raising their kids with no super powers even though their kids have super powers," she said. "They may not even know it. ... But now there is an emergency situation and it turns out that Elasti-girl and her husband go back into action and the kids go, too."
She added: "I thought it would be an interesting experience and it was. It's completely different from anything else that I've ever done."
