VENTURA, Calif., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Actress Tracey Gold pleaded innocent in a California court to felony driving under the influence charges stemming from an accident injuring her family.
Gold, whose attorney entered the plea Tuesday on her behalf, did not speak to reporters outside the Ventura Country, Calif., courtroom, but nodded when asked if she was scared, "Celebrity Justice" reported Wednesday.
Gold is charged with two counts of felony DUI and one count of child endangerment from the Sept. 3 accident in which the "Growing Pains" star rolled the family vehicle off a California embankment, injuring her husband and two of the couple's children.
Prosecutor Jeff Gorrell, who will lead the case for the district attorney, said Gold's previous good record will benefit the actress.
"When somebody has a past of drinking and driving, it is an issue. It's not an issue in this case," Gorrell said.
Gold, if convicted, faces probation to six years in prison.
