'Wimbledon' stars defend their tennis

LONDON, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- The stars of the new British.-made movie "Wimbledon" believe critics of the film's tennis are just out of bounds.

Kirsten Dunst and Paul Bettany, attending the movie's premiere Monday at London's Odeon Leicester Square, said they were proud of the quality of their tennis, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday.

"I thought it looked really exciting and good, but it doesn't really bother me," said Dunst. "Everybody has their own opinion."

Bettany said the tennis he and his co-star played got the endorsements that matter.

"John McEnroe saw it and he was very pleased with it," said Bettany. "The girl who won Wimbledon (Maria Sharapova) seemed to be very pleased with it as well."
