MOSCOW, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Veteran Hollywood actor Malcolm McDowell has agreed to play a CIA villain in a new Russian movie, the Interfax news agency said Tuesday.
The British-born McDowell announced in a Moscow press conference he would play a villainous ex-CIA agent in a new Russian action movie with the working title of "Su-XX", Interfax said.
McDowell told reporters he takes pleasure in playing such roles. He said he was "not against playing the parts of people on the verge of insanity, noting that insanity in a way lives in each person," Interfax said.
However, McDowell also "assured the audience that he is a healthy and reasonable man, although it is a great pleasure for him to play insane people, not to mention that he is paid for that," the news agency said.
