Jackson, family attend prosecutor hearing

SANTA MARIA, Calif., Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Pop star Michael Jackson arrived at a California court Monday flanked by his parents and siblings Jermaine, Janet and LaToya for the hearing of his prosecutor.

Santa Barbara County District Attorney Tom Sneddon answered the Jackson charge that he violated attorney-client privilege between Jackson and his former attorney, Mark Geragos, when he conducted a search of the office of a private investigator, CNN reported.

Jackson's attorney said the prosecutor knew or should have known investigator Brad Miller was working for Jackson and therefore any information obtained in the search of Miller's office should be thrown out.

The pop star has pleaded not guilty to seven counts of performing lewd or lascivious acts on a boy and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent.

Sneddon said he did not know Miller was directly employed by Geragos.
