LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- British anchorwoman Fiona Phillips has been added to the voiceover cast of Hollywood's "Shark Tale," playing a roving reporter in the animated film.
Phillips, GMTV's main anchor, will voice the part of Katie Current, a recurring character who speaks the DreamWorks' movie's first line, then pops up throughout the story, Britain's Mirror reported Monday.
Phillips, who has no acting experience, will be heard alongside Hollywood heavyweights such as Will Smith, Renee Zellweger, Robert DeNiro and Angelina Jolie, but her paycheck won't reflect the glamour.
"I'm really excited but I'm not being paid for my role. When I was invited to do it, I started to see the zeros popping up before my eyes and was already planning how to spend it. But then I was told it's an honor to be in it," Phillips said.
Phillips will be heard in the British and European versions of the film, which is due out in September.
Veteran U.S. TV anchor Katie Couric will voice over the part for the U.S. audiences.
